ARTES is dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of Iberian and Latin American art. It is based in the UK and Ireland but scholars and enthusiasts worldwide are welcome to join.

ARTES aims to:

• Enable people with a special interest in the arts of the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America to meet and maintain contact
• Promote study and discussion
• Organise regular meetings and visits
• Provide news and information
• Encourage contact and collaboration across all fields and disciplines relating to Iberian and Latin American visual culture
• Establish and maintain links with groups with similar aims in the UK, Ireland and elsewhere.

ARTES members receive InformARTES every autumn. It contains articles, reviews and information on publications, exhibitions and other events in the fields of Iberian and Latin American art. It also covers news of visits and meetings organised by ARTES. Copies can be obtained from the Treasurer, Peter Lea, email plea@fwplea.co.uk
